Table Talk

I adore Thanksgiving! It is a time for friends and family to gather around the table and thank God for our many blessings. Many a memory is made around the dining room table in celebration of this annual meal - and though the decor of these rooms may change over time, the memories are set in stone.

As I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite dining rooms.

I like everything about this dining room. The chairs, the rug, the fixture, the combination

of traditional and contemporary design -- it's all fabulous.

I love the soft wool silk rug. Very sleek and elegant.

Love the framed art on the white all, the floor lamp, the sputnik and the Dash & Albert Rug. Mostly, I love the fact that it looks like the room was decorated over time.

Dining room seen in Lonny Magazine. The designer painted white paint on the floor to give the room an edge. Love the eclectic mix, the dark floors the chandelier, and library lights.

Again Lonny comes through with an amazingly unique dining room. The chairs are upholstered in vinyl snakeskin and the ceiling is draped in a tapestry. The rug is a wool velvet.

The most beautiful tables are not those filled with things, but those that are surrounded by laughter and joy from those you love. May your Thanksgiving be a blessed and happy one this year!

About Eatman's Carpets and Interiors

Eatman's Carpets and Interiors is my family's business. My grandfather, Bill Eatman, opened its doors in 1957 in Downtown Raleigh as a design studio/upholstery workroom selling high end fabrics, wool carpeting, and wallpaper. My father, Woody Eatman, the current president, followed in his father's footsteps joining the family business after school. Years later, with her Design degree in hand, my mother was hired as a designer by Eatman's. My Dad and my Mom fell in love and married. Over time, Eatman's became a innovator in the world of flooring creating computer systems specifically for the industry as well as adding to the business a supply and installation divisions. Fast-forwarding through my arrival and my sister's, the business is now a hybrid of the past and the present.
